Telematics basics
What is telematics?
Telematics combines GPS tracking, sensors and mobile connectivity to send data from vehicles and assets to an online platform, where it can be monitored and analysed.
What is geofencing?
A geofence is a virtual boundary drawn on a map. The platform sends an alert whenever a vehicle or asset enters or leaves it.
How does fuel monitoring detect theft?
A calibrated sensor measures the fuel level continuously. A sudden drop while a vehicle is stationary, or a refuel that doesn't match a receipt, is flagged for review.
